    Hi! Wow, it's been a while since I've blogged. Anyway, I have been very busy - with school and work and life! There are so many curves life throws at us and I am learning quickly to not dwell on things and take it as it is. I think my prayer life has gotten a whole lot better over these past few months, as well! I went to see Spring Awakening last night.... LOVED IT!!! The vocals, harmony, and band were all incredible! This makes five broadway shows that I've seen... And I love every one of them so far! I'm going to see A Chorus Line again soon, which I'm very excited about.
    I wish I could go to the Opry on March 4th to watch Miss Carrie. That's my birthday, but unfortunately that's the week before midterms so I HAVE to be studying!! My classes are kicking my booty already! Well, that's about all I've got. Hope everyone is well!!

  • Mission Trip

    Hey all, Well, hopefully in March I'll be able to go on a mission trip to Guatemala to a children's home with my church. The basic goal is to bring the glory of God to this orphanage and show the kids that someone does love them and that God loves them. Also, we'll be doing some clean up work, rebuilding, and stuff around the village. My only concern is that I won't be able to raise the money to go.
    Does anyone have any suggestions on ways I could raise money? I feel as though I'm being called to go and that this is something to put others before myself.
    I would love any suggestions, or prayers that could help make this possible. Thank you and God bless!

  • Broke my foot =(

    So, I'm pretty bummed... I was running last night and stepped wrong and broke my foot. =( Not sure how that happened - I drink enough milk to have my own cow in the backyard. haha! Maybe this happened for a reason.... maybe it did so that I'll actually sit down and study! =) Just wanted to share. Keep it real, Whitney

    So I'm really confused.. Can someone please clear something up for me?! Carrie and SOS were just on American Idol, which is live, in CA. It also says that Carrie has a tour date tonight in WV. How is this happening?! haha. I know there are time differences, but I can't imagine her flying straight from CA to WV in like 4 hours and going straight on stage.... Who knows! Thanks!

    Hi Whitney, how are you? It's ridiculous how long it's been since I logged in last so I'm going to put up a new blog tomorrow. I want to thank you for your comments on the letter I posted - yeah, I haven't looked at my own page in forever! Carrie did read it when she had time. I met her June 2009 and gave her the original hand written draft - she can't possibly see all that's posted on this site. I wanted to do something special for her that day. She thanked me and we talked for short time - yes, she was that shy country girl she's always been. Like you said, I'm sure it touched her heart like she touched mine.     Hey Whitney - I'm doing OK, thanks. Was down in Nashville in June for the softball game, FC Party, Opry and CMT Awards. Not much going on now. Its 100 degrees here today. Yuck! I cannot stand it. The heat has been really bad here this summer and its pretty early yet. How are you doing? How was your 4th? I was down in DC with about 500,000 other people. I love it there for the 4th. The fireworks and views were spectacular.

    It took me a few days after I first meet her to realize it really happened too. LOL! You'll get to meet her again someday. I'm hoping to meet her at the softball game in Nashville in June. Its very hectic though so I may not get involved in all the mayhem. LOL! Have a good night :)

    awww im glad!! glad you had a good time meeting her at least!! i love the picture of you two :) yeah i posted my meet & greet experience on the message board yesterday but ill copy & repaste it & put it on my blog on my site page that way i have my own on my own site lol- so glad we got to meet Carrie in the same week!! best time for the both of us :) YAYYYYYYYYY
